Cross-Environment Monitoring & Drift Control

Replaced manual per-tenant checks with centralized drift visibility, alerting, and remediation workflows across an entire customer portfolio.

Situation

Configuration drift and risky-user signals were invisible until they became customer incidents—no centralized way to monitor dozens of tenants.

The team was spending hours on repetitive manual checks that still missed silent regressions.

Role

Designed and implemented a drift-governance operating model, then trained the team to run it without me.

Actions

  • Built cross-tenant Global Views consolidating configuration and compliance drift into a single operational pane.
  • Implemented accept-versus-remediate drift workflows with expiration and scheduled processing.
  • Routed drift and risky-user alerts into their notification and PSA queue so nothing fell through the cracks.

Results

  • Shifted from reactive firefighting to proactive, portfolio-wide visibility.
  • Surfaced configuration regressions centrally before they reached end customers.
