Internal automation

GLE Automation Form

One Microsoft Form submission creates the Teams workspace, channels, content, and kickoff email.

Technologies

  • Power Automate
  • Microsoft Forms
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Office 365 Outlook
  • Microsoft 365

Situation

Each go-live meant manual Teams setup: create the team, add channels, paste content, draft the kickoff email.

Setup varied by engineer and customer.

Role

I built the Power Automate flow that runs when the form is submitted.

What it does

  • Reads go-live details from a Microsoft Form.
  • Creates the Teams team and channels (Modern Work, Entra, AD, and others).
  • Posts docs, training links, and walkthroughs into each channel.
  • Picks the right setup based on deployment type and assigned engineer.
  • Reuses an existing team if one is already there; sends the kickoff email from Outlook.

Why it matters

  • One form replaces a long manual setup.
  • Every customer gets the same channels and starter content.
  • Engineers spend less time on clicks and more time with the partner.

How it's built

Power Automate flow tied to Forms, Teams, and Outlook, with switches to route content to the right team and channels.

Results

  • Go-live workspace setup is one form submit.
  • Onboarding looks the same for every customer.

Open to Go Live, cloud engineering, and technical customer-facing roles. Email or LinkedIn works best.
